FAQ Answers

1. Tuition is payable on a monthly basis. A registration/recital fee of $70.00 is also charged. June tuition is collected in advance during registration.  June and October tuitions may be prorated based on startup/end dates.

Tuition rates are as follows for the 2013-2014 year:

1 Subject (1 Hour a Week)      =    $65.00 per month

2 Subjects (2 Hours a Week)   =    $75.00 per month

3 Subjects (3 Hours a Week)   =    $80.00 per month

4 Subjects (4 Hours a Week)   =    $85.00 per month

Hour and a half combination classes (Ballet/Tap/Jazz) = $70.00 per month

Ballet/Tap combination classes = $65.00 per month


2. Students should wear a leotard and tights. Small dance skirts are also acceptable. There is no uniform color. Students are welcome to wear whatever color uniform they would like.

3. A list of local establishments that sell dance shoes for students of all ages is on the "Contact Us" page of this site.

4. Ballet shoes should be pink. Beginner dance students should wear black ballet shoes for Jazz. Advanced students should wear black Jazz shoes. Beginner students should wear black patent leather tap shoes with a ribbon to tie them. Advanced dance students should wear a black loafer style tap shoe with a lace like a sneaker.

5. Dance classes have an average of 10 students per class. Some classes are larger, and some are smaller.

6. Classes are organized by both age and ability. The studio tries to keep students of the same age range and level of skill together. This helps to form cohesive and supportive classes. Students that continue to enroll at the studio tend to stay with the same students for a number of year, thereby developing relationships that help performance.

7. There is a recital that includes all of "Donna's Dance...A Studio" students in June. There are performances for "Donna's Dance...A Company" throughout the entire dance year. A calendar of these performances can be found on the "Studio Calendar" page of this site. In addition, there is a visitor's week in January or February, during which parents can observe the student's classes.

8. The best way to get in touch with "Miss" Donna is to email her through this website. You may also call her. However, if you call the studio during normal business hours, she will be teaching and therefore unable to answer the phone. She or another member of her staff will return your phone call within 24 hours.
